Homecoming Elections

RE: Nominations for Homecoming Court and Mr. and Miss NWCC
Homecoming Court and the elections will run the same as last year. The Homecoming Court will be made up of six sophomores (two from each campus), three of which will be crowned queen (one queen from each campus), and six freshmen (two from each campus). Please note that the election will be held electronically this year via mass email to all NWCC students, as follows: October 3-7 election for Homecoming Court from the organization and club nominations. The second election will determine the Homecoming Queens among the Sophomores elected to Court. It will be held October 12-14, 2011.
Each student organization is allowed to submit one nomination for each position. Your nomination deadline is September 23, 2011. It is absolutely necessary to have nominations by this date in order to assure fair elections. Please do your best at locating your students to receive nominations.
Senatobia campus - Please hand-deliver your nomination form to the Student Activities Office in the Nursing Building or place it in campus mail.
Desoto Center – all submissions go to Ginger Jackson.
Oxford Center – all submissions go to Brenda Holmes.
If we do not receive a nomination from you by the deadline, we will assume that your organization has no nominations.
Please refer to the qualifications below when nominating and check student classifications and GPA’s before submitting nominations.
Mr. & Miss NWCC
· Full- time student (12 or more hours)
· Sophomore status (24+ hours)
· Minimum 2.0 GPA
· Must not be on either disciplinary probation or academic probation
Freshmen maids
· Full-time student (12 or more hours)
· Freshman status (less than 24 hours)
· Minimum 2.0 GPA
· Must not be on either disciplinary probation or academic probation
Sophomore maids (one to be elected Queen)
· Full-time student (12 or more hours)
· Must have attended Northwest for at least one semester
· Sophomore status (24+ hours)
· Minimum 2.0 GPA
· Must not be on either disciplinary probation or academic probation
